Description

The default MVD geometry has changed in the RC_APR21.
The new one is shifted 4 cm upstream while STS geometry remains unchanged (short version v19a).

- Is it an intentional mismatch between the versions?
- Do we have to shift the vertex upstream in the simulations?
- Is the change in vertex position fully agreed?

Hi Oleg,

Attached is page 15 of the CBM Technical Note 18001 MVD geometry. The APR20 default geometry was v17a with a distance of 8cm from the target, which is what I assume you are using in conjunction with the STS v19a. The proposed default for APR21 is v20c which is 4cm (3cm by my measurements) from the target/

There is also a v20a with the same placement the older v17a. Is this a suitable alternative for you?

Thanks, Eoin!
Changing MVD to v20a in default setups should suit our needs.
